Volunteers are an important part of Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre. They give their experience, skills, and generosity to help us provide the best possible care to individuals and families in Cochrane and across the Bow Valley.

With a variety of roles available, there are opportunities to get involved both directly with clients and in the day-to-day work that keeps the Centre running.

People volunteer for many different reasons. You may want to use the skills you already have, gain experience in a new area, or simply spend some of your time doing something that is meaningful to you.

At Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre, every role contributes in its own way. Some volunteers serve as Client Advocates and Male Mentors, while others lend a hand with events, administration, Cathy’s Corner, fundraising, or the upkeep of the Centre.

Whatever role you take on, you’ll be part of a team working to make sure our programs and services remain free and accessible to those who need us.

Volunteer Opportunities in Cochrane

Find a role that fits your skills and interests

Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre offers a variety of roles where your experience and compassion can make a big difference. Opportunities vary depending on current needs and some positions require additional screening and training.

Client Advocate/Male Mentor

Work with individuals and families navigating unexpected pregnancies and related circumstances. Client Advocates and Male Mentors provide education, support, and hope to clients and a confidential space where they can talk about what they’re experiencing.
Administrative Support

Help with the everyday tasks that keep things organized behind the scenes. Administrative volunteers may assist with phone calls, filing, and other office needs.
Cathy’s Corner

Clients can access our in-Centre boutique, Cathy’s Corner, for free maternity and baby clothing, diapers, wipes, and other donated essentials. Assist us with sorting and stocking donations.
Resource Development Committee (RDC)

Join the RDC to raise funds and connect with people throughout the Bow Valley. Members help with event planning, fundraising initiatives, event-day assistance, and other activities.
Centre Upkeep

Help us maintain a comfortable space for everyone who visits Cochrane Pregnancy Care Centre by assisting with cleaning and other practical tasks around the Centre.
Board Membership

Serving on the Board of Directors is another way to contribute your expertise and perspective to the Centre. Board Members help to shape the future of our organization.
